"Power" is the first song I ever wrote as a teenager during a power outage in LA. Shortly after completing my first yoga teacher training I re-visited the song and replaced the words with my favorite sanskrit mantra. I have played the song live for years while my students rest in shavasana after their practice. Enjoy this new recording, and enjoy yourself while you're at it!
Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya
Gopala Govinda Rama
Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha
Om Namah Shivaya
The power is out and it is gusty,
What a perfect time for surrending.
I know you may feel as though we are one.
See, I feel it too most of the time. Others I'm just pretending.
So come and find me.
We are all just feelings floating somewhere.
So let the higher meaning enter you without a care,
Because you know that's the way it must enter.
Join me, I have always enjoyed looking out there.
